Air Blows On Floor Not In Front Vents

I have a 1991 s 10. I get good heat and air conditioning from my front vents but when i select floor or defrost vents the air still only blows from front vents. During battery replacement the control module for the mode actuators may lose its memory. A c not coming from front vents only blowing from defrost and floor. I would appreciate any help i can get on this issue as i would like to get my a c working asap. It blows out the floor vent and the defroster vent but it won t change and blow out the dash vent. Try closing some air vents in bathrooms closets and hallways to see if you get better airflow to the affected room.
