As its name suggests an air handler handles the air inside your home and delivers warm or cool indoor air throughout your entire home.

While this will vent the closet it will also blow air into the attic and requires moving or adding duct work along with extensive electrical wiring.
Supply air from furnaces and air conditioners should be on outside walls.
Due to the chocked filters or blocked duct or maybe for whatever reason if the air flow is restricted then there will be chance of sweating.
To solve for exhausting this heat i took a two pronged approach.
There is a pipe that goes through the wall and connects the air handler with the compressor.
The first is to install an exhaust fan like those found in bathrooms.
However if the heater you have is not able to handle the extra square footage then your best bet is getting a bigger heater and air conditioning unit.
Ducts push and pull air to this central location cooling and delivering it rooms in your home through the vent system.
The air handler is in the closet.
So is our water heater the unit everyone calls a compressor is outside the closet.
Create or modify an air sealed closet to contain the air handler and the return air plenum.
This pulls the air across your body.
The furnace or air handler ahu in the drawing below pulls air through the return ducts conditions that air and then sends it through the supply ducts back into the house.
One mistake people make is thinking they can just add a vent and the heating problem will be solved.

As the air flow is reduced the temperature of the air goes below the dew point and causes sweating.
There are two options for venting a closet.
If the supply ducts are in the floor then the return air should be located up high.
Most often air handlers are located in the attic basement or a dedicated closet and may closely resemble the shape of a gas furnace.
The problem with bedrooms occurs in houses where the hvac design did not include return vents in each bedroom.
The return air plenum must be air sealed so that the only air that enters the plenum is air coming from the house through the filter backed grille.
The first is that i installed a return air vent in the server closet ducted to the return air side of the home a c unit.
What we need to do is exhaust the warm air from the room not inject air.
What would we do without delivery.
The other option is to add a two way vent above the closet doors.
The return air vent openings need to be on the opposite side of the room so the conditioned air is pulled across the room.
If your heater can handle the extra vent go for it.
